The 2022 Chrysler 300 is a roomy 5-passenger sedan that excels in long-distance driving comfort and can be optioned with available all-wheel drive (AWD) and a powerful Hemi V8. While the current generation of Chrysler’s large 4-door dates back to the 2011 model year, the 300 still features impressive performance and poise and has the tech touches expected in a modern sedan.
This includes items like the 300’s intuitive UConnect infotainment system, which has clear graphics and is easy to use after only a few moments of practice. Available safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and more.
There is also the added peace of mind provided by available AWD, which can be optioned onto the entry-level Touring and Touring L trims. These are both motivated by a 292-horsepower V6 coupled to an 8-speed automatic. In the 300S V6 variant, this same engine sees its power increased to 300 hp.
At the top of the range, the 300S V8 is the only model available with a 363-hp Hemi V8 engine, which gives this broad-shouldered sedan the straight-line grunt and exhaust note to match its commanding road presence. While SUVs remain the red-hot sales segment, the 2022 Chrysler 300 still packs plenty of charm and appeal into its squared-off dimensions.

2022 Chrysler 300 Touring (starting price of $33,545)
The 2022 Chrysler 300 Touring gives you a lot of car for your money.
By and large, the 300 rolls into a new model year with only minor changes, such as new paint options or reshuffling of option packages. As we’ve already mentioned, the 300 Touring comes with a 292-hp V6 coupled to an 8-speed automatic and your choice of rear- or all-wheel-drive format. Adding AWD nudges the price upward by $2,750 on the Touring and Touring L trims.
The standard wheels are 17-inch alloys, though optional wheels range from 18- to 20-inches in diameter.
Stepping inside, the front cloth bucket seats are comfortable, and there’s more than enough headroom and legroom in either row. The tough-guy looks of the 300 do hinder outward visibility, however. If cargo space is a priority, know that the 300 has about 16 cubic feet of trunk volume, and the 60/40 split-folding rear seatback delivers more room for bulky items.
Standard features on the Touring trim include power locks and windows, cloth seats, keyless entry, push-button start, and power-adjustable driver’s seat. The 8.4-inch UConnect infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other tech touches include two front USB outlets, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD radio, Bluetooth, and a rearview camera.
That last feature constitutes the only active safety item offered on the 300 Touring trim. While there’s a full (and expected) complement of airbags, adding features like blind-spot monitoring or automatic emergency braking requires moving to higher trims.
Option packages on the 300 Touring are primarily confined to appearance items.
The Chrome Appearance Package and Sport Appearance Package cost around $1,500 and come with larger wheels, a black or chrome-finished front grille, and other blacked-out or chrome exterior highlights.
With a destination fee of $1,595 added to the $33,545 base price, the 2022 Chrysler 300 Touring comes to $35,140. Financing that amount for 60 months at a 3% interest rate with zero down translates to a monthly payment of about $636. See 2022 Chrysler 300 Touring models for sale
2022 Chrysler 300 Touring includes:
- Space – The Chrysler 300 delivers lots of room for anyone seated in the first or second row.
- RWD or AWD – Even though it’s the base model, the 300 Touring is available with optional AWD.
2022 Chrysler 300 Touring L (starting price of $36,745)
The 2022 Chrysler 300 Touring L could be the best value of the four trims. That’s because it still offers a choice of rear- or all-wheel drive and can be optioned with active safety features not available on the base Touring model.
To start, the Touring L comes standard with blind-spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and rear cross-traffic alert. Add the available SafetyTec Plus Group, and you get full-speed forward collision warning, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, and much more (all for $2,395 extra).
The cabin gets upgraded to leather seating surfaces, plus standard heated front seats and a power-adjustable front passenger seat. The Touring L also comes standard with larger 18-inch alloy wheels too.
There is no shortage of ways to make the 300 sedan more luxurious (and louder!). Options include a panoramic sunroof, Alpine audio system, trunk-mounted subwoofer, satellite radio, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, and illuminated rear cupholders. Many of these are lumped together in packages such as the Popular Equipment Group or Comfort Group.
The Sport Appearance Package and Chrome Appearance Package are also optional on the Touring L.
With a destination fee of $1,595 added to the $36,745 base price, the 2022 Chrysler 300 Touring L comes to $38,340. Financing that amount for 60 months at a 3% interest rate with zero down translates to a monthly payment of about $689. See 2022 Chrysler 300 Touring L models for sale
2022 Chrysler 300 Touring L includes:
- Leather – The Touring L substitutes the base car’s cloth interior for seats covered in Nappa leather.
- All-wheel drive – Available AWD could appeal to sedan shoppers living in snowy climates.
- Safety – The Touring L allows access to a far wider lineup of active safety features.
2022 Chrysler 300S V6 (starting price of $42,155)
Moving up to the 2022 Chrysler 300S V6 brings with it more goodies, a little more power, and the loss of one item that could be a deal-breaker for car shoppers. While the 300S V6 comes with a 300-hp version of the 3.6-liter V6 found in the Touring and Touring L, and it rides on a hunkered-down sport suspension, there is no option to add AWD to this or the 300S V8.
The good news is that the 300S V6 comes with plenty of other features to tempt someone who wants the size and space of a large sedan, along with some added bravado. This includes standard 20-inch alloys, blacked-out front grille and exterior trim, and Sport drive mode.
Buyers can find the same Popular Equipment Group, SafetyTec Group, and Comfort Group packages on the 300S V6. However, this trim adds the S Model Appearance Package, which brings a rear spoiler, body-color front fascia, and lower grille close-out panels.
With a destination fee of $1,595 added to the $42,155 base price, the 2022 Chrysler 300S V6 comes to $43,750. Financing that amount for 60 months at a 3% interest rate with zero down translates to a monthly payment of roughly $786. See 2022 Chrysler 300S V6 models for sale
2022 Chrysler 300S V6 includes:
- More horsepower – The 300S V6 uses a 300-hp version of the engine used in the Touring trims.
- Suspension mods – A firmer suspension is fitted to provide a sportier ride.
- Expressive exterior – A gloss-black front grille adds some exterior menace.
2022 Chrysler 300S V8 (starting price of $45,350)
The major change when moving from the Chrysler 300S V6 to the 300S V8 is, of course, the engine found under the hood. This is the only trim that comes with a 392-hp Hemi V8 engine which, to many sedan shoppers, could be reason alone to choose this model.
The 300S V8 also comes standard with all the Popular Equipment Group and S Model Appearance Package features. This includes a 506-watt Alpine audio system, trunk-mounted subwoofer, S Model exterior trim upgrades, and navigation.
With a destination fee of $1,595 added to the $45,350 base price, the 2022 Chrysler 300S V8 comes to $46,945. Financing that amount for 60 months at a 3% interest rate with zero down translates to a monthly payment of about $844. See 2022 Chrysler 300S V8 models for sale
2022 Chrysler 300S V8 includes:
Hemi – This is the only 300 sedan offered with the optional Hemi V8.
Big wheels – The 300S trims come standard with 20-inch alloy wheels.
Audio – The 300S V8 comes standard with an Alpine stereo and trunk-mounted subwoofer.
