2022 Lincoln Nautilus: Choosing the Right Trim

The midsize 2022 Lincoln Nautilus sails into the new model year with no substantive changes. A couple of new option packages and a shakeup in the exterior color palette pretty well sum up the revisions.

Bookended by the larger Aviator and the smaller Corsair, the Nautilus competes against rivals such as the Lexus RX and Cadillac XT5.

Roomy and comfortable inside, Nautilus provides plenty of cargo room in addition to its seating for five.

Lincoln Co-Pilot360 is standard across the board. It comes with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward-collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and high-beam assist.

A piano-key gear selector located below the center vents takes a minute or two to get used to, but that’s the only oddity.

The new 13.2-inch touchscreen is positively huge and easy to use with the Sync 4 interface.

Lincoln offers the Nautilus in three grades: Standard, Reserve, and Black Label.

All-wheel drive (AWD) is standard in the Black Label and optional ($2,495) in the lower trims.

Power and Fuel Economy

Delivering power to the Standard and Reserve versions is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. It punches out 250 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.

An 8-speed automatic transmission hustles engine output to the front wheels (FWD) or to all the wheels with AWD.

The government-estimated mileage with FWD is 21 miles per gallon in the city, 26 mpg on the highway, and 23 mpg in combined driving. Opting for AWD scrubs a little off of those numbers to 20/25/22.

Standard in the Black Label grade and optional ($2,700) in the Reserve is a 335-hp 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6. It also generates 380 lb-ft of torque.

Using the same 8-speed automatic tranny, its estimated AWD mileage is 19 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined. The mileage with the V6 and FWD has yet to be announced.

2022 Lincoln Nautilus Standard ($42,500)

Very well equipped, the Standard comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry with push-button start, power heated outboard mirrors with integrated turn signals, and a power liftgate.

Among the other standard fare are a 12.3-inch LCD cluster display, auto-dimming rearview mirror, 10-way power driver’s seat, 8-way power front passenger seat, heated front seats, and synthetic leather seating.

Exterior LED lighting includes headlights with auto on/off and taillights.

Composing the standard infotainment system are a 13.2-inch touchscreen, four USB ports, three 12-volt power ports, Sync 4, voice recognition, 10-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and satellite radio capability.

The Lincoln Co-Pilot360 suite of safety features is also standard.

Beyond AWD, there isn’t much in the way of options for the Standard.

Adding the $1,095 destination fee to the Standard Nautilus base price brings the total to $43,595. Financing that amount with no money down for 60 months at 3% interest works out to a monthly payment of $783.

2022 Lincoln Nautilus Standard includes:

  • Keyless entry with push-button start – The car doors automatically unlock when the system senses the key fob close by.
  • Sync 4 – An advanced infotainment interface with voice recognition.
  • Co-Pilot360 – This comprehensive suite of driver aids helps reduce driver stress.

2022 Lincoln Nautilus Reserve ($48,900)

Building on the Nautilus Standard, the Reserve adds 20-inch alloy wheels, leather seating, adaptive suspension, upgraded 13-speaker Revel audio system, adaptive LED headlights, and panoramic sunroof.

Wireless charging and heated/ventilated front seats are also included.

Adding the $1,095 destination fee to the $48,900 base price totals $49,995. With no money down, financing that amount for 60 months at 3% interest works out to $898 per month. Find a 2022 Lincoln Nautilus Reserve for sale near you

Lincoln sweetens the Black Label offerings with member privileges like free anytime car washes, extended maintenance plan with free visits, and personal Lincoln liaison.

Lincoln only offers the Black Label with the V6 and AWD.
