The 2022 Ram ProMaster City returns virtually unchanged.
A solid alternative to full-size vans for tradespeople who spend a lot of time in urban settings, the ProMaster City is a workhorse.
Ram offers it as a panel Cargo Van and a 5-seat Wagon. The only real differences between the two are the Wagon’s second-row bench seat, windows, and side-curtain airbags.
For 2022, Ram only presents it in a single trim level because it discontinued the SLT.
The Ford Transit Connect and Nissan NV200 are ProMaster City’s main rivals.
We like that it’s easy to drive and park in the city. Also worth mentioning is its 1,887-pound payload capacity.
A 178-horsepower 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine provides its go. Spinning the front wheels falls to a 9-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive (AWD) isn’t available.
According to government estimates, the fuel-economy numbers are 21 mpg in the city, 28 mpg on the highway, and 24 mpg in combined driving.

The infotainment system consists of Uconnect 3 with a 5-inch display, a 4-speaker audio system, and a USB port.
For another $420, you can add heated seats and heated power outboard mirrors.
Pony up $525 for navigation with voice recognition.
