The big news for the returning 2022 Toyota GR Supra is a new limited-edition trim called A91-CF.
Otherwise, there’s not much news beyond heated seats becoming standard in the 3.0 versions.
Toyota is building only 600 examples of the GR Supra A91-CF Edition. “CF” refers to its carbon-fiber body kit.
Red brake calipers, 19-inch matte-black wheels, and a red-and-black faux-leather interior round out the package.
With close ties to the BMW Z4, Supra is a premium sports car. A two-seat rear-wheel-drive (RWD) coupe, it’s Toyota’s top-performing model.

In addition to the A91-CF, Supra comes in three grades: 2.0, 3.0, and 3.0 Premium.
Propelling the GR Supra 2.0 is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine bound to an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
With the same transmission, the GR Supra 3.0 and 3.0 Premium source their go from a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline 6-cylinder engine.
According to government estimates, the fuel economy for the 2.0L is 25 miles per gallon in the city, 32 mpg on the highway, and 28 mpg in combined driving.
Stepping up to the 3.0L drops the estimated mileage numbers to 22 mpg/30 mpg/25 mpg.
2022 Toyota GR Supra 2.0 (starting at $43,190)

The 2.0 comes with 18-in. cast-aluminum wheels, launch control, auto-leveling LED headlights, keyless entry with push-button start, and faux-leather sport seats.
Also included are carbon-fiber interior accents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, and heated outboard mirrors.
Within the infotainment system are an 8.8-in. touchscreen, a 4-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Among the standard driver aids are forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with steering assist, and high-beam assist.
For $3,484, you can add the Safety & Technology Package. It’s packed with extras like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and front-rear parking assist with braking. Other goodies include a 12-speaker JBL audio system, navigation, and wireless Apple CarPlay.

2022 Toyota GR Supra 2.0 includes:
- Launch control – This is an electronic aid to assist drivers in accelerating from a standstill.
- Dual-zone automatic climate control – A set-it-and-forget-it system, it divides the vehicle into left and right regions. It provides separate temperature settings for each region. Once set, it automatically maintains the preset temperatures.
- Rain-sensing wipers – When the system senses moisture on the windshield, it automatically engages the wipers. The wiper speed adjusts according to the volume of the rain.
2022 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 (starting at $51,540)

Building on the 2.0, the 3.0 adds the 6-cylinder turbo, 19-in. aluminum wheels, an electronic rear differential, and 4-piston front Brembo brakes.
A 10-speaker audio system and 14-way power-adjustable seats are also standard.
