The Audi Q7 is the German brand’s offering in the competitive midsize 3-row luxury SUV class. It competes primarily with the 3-row variants of the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class and BMW X5. The Q7 has the benefit of being a little bigger than these two rivals, and 3-row seating comes standard. A third row is a costly option on the X5 and GLE.
There are three powertrains available in the 2023 Audi Q7. The standard 261-horsepower 45 TFSI (Turbocharged Fuel Stratified Injection) 4-cylinder powertrain is adequate for most drivers. However, if you’re looking for a little extra family-hauling muscle, you’ll prefer one of the 335-hp V6-powered 55 TFSI models. Where you see “Q7 55” below, we’re referring to the V6 powertrain.
Finally, the mighty SQ7 delivers 500 horsepower from a turbocharged V8 under the hood. This setup is for drivers who want strong performance in a premium SUV. However, for most luxury SUV drivers, the SQ7 may not be worth the extra cost or the fuel economy penalty.
One thing all Q7s have in common is standard quattro all-wheel drive (AWD).
There are three trim levels for the Q7, plus a variety of option packages and individual options that allow you to make it your own. Let’s find the right Audi Q7 for you.
2023 Audi Q7 Premium (starting at $57,500)
The Audi Q7 Premium is well-equipped for a base model. Standard features include 7-passenger seating with a power-folding third row, 3-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery with a memory driver’s seat, heated front seats, LED headlights, taillights, and interior lights, Virtual Cockpit Plus, a panoramic sunroof with a power sunshade, and a hands-free power liftgate.
Standard safety features include the Audi Pre Sense Basic, Front, and Rear systems, which automatically close the windows and tighten the seatbelts if it detects an accident, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, and front and rear parking sensors.
The standard MMI (Multi Media Interface) Navigation Plus system is a dual-screen infotainment system with navigation, SiriusXM, HD Radio, a 10-speaker audio system, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The desirable Convenience Package ($2,000) available for the Premium trim adds a wireless charging pad, a heated steering wheel, a 360-degree camera, and adaptive cruise control with lane guidance. With the 2.0-liter engine, the Q7 is rated by the EPA at 19 mpg city/25 mpg highway/21 mpg combined.
The V6-powered 2023 Audi Q7 55 Premium starts at $63,100. It’s rated by the EPA at 18 mpg city/22 mpg highway/20 mpg combined.
When you factor in the destination fee of $1,195, the Q7 has a starting Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $58,695. With a 60-month loan with 3% interest and no money down, the Q7 Premium would have a starting monthly payment of about $1,055 for the Q7 45 and $1,155 for the Q7 55.
