A 255-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine powers the 430i Coupe and Convertible. Their rear wheels propel both, but for an additional $2,000, buyers can opt for BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive (430i xDrive).
The 430i employs an 8-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode and launch control. It also comes standard with BMW’s Driving Dynamics Control, which allows variations on throttle control, shift points, and steering feel via Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ modes.
