The 2023 Chrysler Pacifica and Pacifica Hybrid offer minivan buyers wide latitude in the areas of economy, features, and capability. Most Pacifica trims provide seating for seven, but the Touring L offers a second-row bench seat that elevates passenger capacity to eight.
Opting for the gas-only Pacifica brings a 287-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 and front-wheel drive. Buyers can upgrade to all-wheel drive (AWD), a feature not offered on the Honda Odyssey or Kia Carnival.
The Pacifica Hybrid uses the same engine paired with an electric motor for a combined output of 260 hp. The Pacifica Hybrid is what’s known as a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), meaning it can be charged at home and offers an electric-only range of about 32 miles. With the gas and electric motors working together, the Pacifica Hybrid can travel over 500 miles.
The only other hybrid minivan is the Toyota Sienna, which isn’t a PHEV and doesn’t qualify for a federal tax credit. On the flip side, the Sienna offers the combination of available AWD and a hybrid engine, a setup you can’t get with the Pacifica.
2023 Chrysler Pacifica Touring: $37,020
The Touring trim gets you in the door for well under $40,000. This trim doesn’t offer the AWD or hybrid engine option and has only one option package.
Right off the bat, you can sense the Touring’s value prospect by its impressive list of standard driver-assist systems. The mix includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, full-speed automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist.
A blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic detection also are included, as are a rearview monitor and a tire pressure monitor. The adaptive cruise control maintains a safe distance from the vehicle directly in front.
Standard rear parking sensors warn when getting too close to a stationary object and can activate the brakes to help avoid a collision.
The Touring features 17-inch alloy wheels, a Stow ’n Place roof rack with stowable cross bars, and LEDs powering the headlights and fog lights.
Power sliding side doors are standard, as are a power liftgate, heated side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and a laminated windshield that helps reduce interior noise levels.
The Touring features a remote proximity key fob that senses when a door handle is touched and unlocks the doors. It also enables the push-button starter and remote start feature.
In place of a full-size spare tire, the Touring provides a tire sealant kit.
A peek inside the Touring’s cabin reveals a level of detail and craftsmanship usually reserved for a high-end luxury vehicle. From its rotary knob gear selector to the stunning 10-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, the Pacifica’s interior is a visual delight.
The Touring’s standard roster is a lengthy one. It includes a heated tilt/telescoping steering wheel and tri-zone automatic climate control with front and rear seat control panels. An 8-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar comes standard, as do heated front seats covered in durable cloth upholstery.
The Touring’s second-row Stow ’n Go bucket seats fold flush into the floor, negating the need to remove them when needing an unobstructed level floor. Second-row passengers also enjoy rear air vents and retractable sunshades.
The Touring’s third-row bench seat also folds flush into the floor.
Chrysler’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system features a 10.1-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM 360L, HD Radio, and integrated voice commands with text reply, Amazon Alexa, and over-the-air firmware updates.
Optional on the Touring is the S Appearance Package, a popular choice that adds 18-inch dark gray wheels, Anodized Ink exterior trim, and black seats with light gray accents.
Figuring in the $1,595 destination charge, the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Touring costs $38,615. On a 60-month loan at 3% financing and zero down, the monthly payment comes to about $694. See 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Touring models for sale near you
2023 Chrysler Pacifica Touring includes:
- Adaptive cruise control – Helps maintain a safe distance from the traffic ahead, with the ability to slow or speed up with traffic.
- Tri-zone climate control – Allows greater control over climate settings for the first and second rows.
- Power sliding side doors – These open and close at the push of a button. With pinch protection, the door will reverse its travel if necessary.
2023 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L: $40,635 (FWD), $43,630 (AWD)
The Touring L opens the door to several options, including AWD and a second-row bench seat that increases total passenger capacity to eight persons.
Building off the Touring, the Touring L adds leatherette seat upholstery, rear seat ambient lighting, driver’s seat memory, third-row retractable sunshades, and a super console with illuminated cup holders.
The Touring L rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.
Optional equipment for the Touring L includes the Safety Sphere Group, which adds a 360-degree Surround View Camera, ParkSense front and rear parking sensors, and parallel and perpendicular self-parking assist.
Checking the box for the Uconnect Theatre Family Group brings dual 10-inch seatback touchscreens, Amazon Fire TV, a Blu-ray/DVD player with remote control, a 115-volt power outlet, and additional USB outlets.
KeySense, a system that allows drivers to place limits on the radio volume, top speed, and certain security features, helps promote safer driving.
The FamCam roof-mounted camera lets the driver keep an eye on backseat shenanigans.
Rounding out the Uconnect Theatre Family Group’s features are a built-in vacuum cleaner, hands-free sliding side doors and liftgate, a power passenger seat, a second-row bench seat (FWD only), heated rear seats, navigation, and a 13-speaker Alpine audio system.
The Trailer-Tow Group adds a Class II trailer hitch, 4- and 7-pin wiring harness, trailer sway damping, and a heavy-duty radiator. When so equipped, the Pacifica has a tow rating that increases to 3,600 pounds.
The Road Tripper Package adds gray and orange door graphics, 20-inch wheels, the Trailer-Tow Group, and a choice of three paint colors: Bright White, Brilliant Black, and Ceramic Gray.
Additional options include a dual-pane sunroof and an upgraded S Appearance Package that adds 20-inch wheels.
Figuring in the $1,595 destination charge, the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L costs $42,230. On a 60-month loan at 3% financing and zero down, the monthly payment comes to approximately $759. See 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L models for sale near you
2023 Chrysler Pacifica Touring L includes:
- Driver’s seat memory – Features a 2-position memory setting for the driver’s seat and exterior mirrors.
- Available Stow ’n Vac – This clever built-in vacuum cleaner makes quick work of spills and messes.
- Available FamCam – Putting all offspring on alert: The Pacifica’s roof-mounted FamCam gives the driver a split-screen view and a “zoom-to-seat” feature.
2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring L: $50,495
The hybrid version of the Touring L offers a slightly different feature set and doesn’t offer the option for AWD.
The Touring L hybrid gains laminated front door glass and 17-inch alloy wheels with Baltic Gray pockets. Opting for the S Appearance Package brings 18-inch wheels.
Due to the position of the hybrid powertrain components below the floor, the hybrid loses the Stow ’n Go folding seats. Instead, the Pacifica Hybrid Touring L features larger captain’s chair seats that, in our opinion, are more comfortable than the somewhat slim bucket seats in the gas version.
The hybrid’s fuel tank capacity shrinks from 19 gallons to 16.5. Regrettably, the clever Stow ‘n Place roof rack is not available.
The Touring L hybrid also loses some optional features, notably the panoramic sunroof and the second- and third-row sunshades. The Theatre Family Group deletes the Blu-ray/DVD player, Stow ’n Vac vacuum, heated second-row seats, and 8-passenger seating.
The Trailer-Tow Group is not available on the Pacifica Hybrid.
The Road Tripper Package (available on AWD and hybrid models) adds gray and orange door graphics, 20-inch wheels, the Stow ’n Place roof rack, and a choice of three paint colors: Bright White, Brilliant Black, and Ceramic Gray.
All other standard and optional equipment from the gas-only Pacifica Touring L apply to the Pacifica Hybrid Touring L.
Figuring in the $1,595 destination charge, the 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring L costs $52,090. On a 60-month loan at 3% financing and zero down, the monthly payment comes to about $936. See 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring L models for sale near you
