There are only a few notable changes to the 2023 Jaguar XF from the current model year. First, adaptive cruise control with full stop-and-go is now standard on all grades. Second, Amazon Alexa is standard on the two top trim levels.
Jaguar separates the XF into three trim levels: P250 S, P250 SE, and P300 R-Dynamic SE.
Sharing the same turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, the S and SE are rear-wheel drive (RWD). To gain all-wheel drive (AWD), you must move up to the R-Dynamic SE, which derives its thrust from a high-performance version of the same turbo 4-cylinder. No matter the number of drive wheels, an 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters switches the gears.
JaguarDrive Control, with its four drive modes (Eco, Comfort, Dynamic, and Rain/Ice/Snow), is standard across the trim-level lineup.
There is a lot to like about the XF, beginning with its elegant lines and plush interior. We are also impressed by its agile handling, competitive pricing, large trunk, and free scheduled maintenance for five years or 60,000 miles.
As Jaguar’s only sedan, the XF goes toe to toe with rivals like the BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class, all of which cost thousands more than the XF.
2023 Jaguar XF P250 S (starting at $47,000, estimated)
The P250 S and P250 SE source their go from a 246-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. According to EPA estimates, its fuel numbers are 25 miles per gallon in the city, 33 mpg on the highway, and 28 mpg in combined driving.
Well equipped, the P250 S features 18-inch alloy wheels, hill-start assist, a power trunk lid, rain-sensing wipers, a power panoramic roof, and LED headlights. Also included are an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 12.3-inch digital cluster display, heated power-folding outboard mirrors, and leather seating.
Heated 12-way power-adjustable front seats, an auto-dimming driver’s side outboard mirror, dual-zone automatic climate control, and wood-veneer cabin accents are standard. Proximity keyless entry with push-button start and a HomeLink transceiver round out the convenience features.
Keeping passengers connected and entertained is an infotainment system anchored by an 11.4-inch touchscreen. An 11-speaker Meridian audio system creates the sound. Bluetooth, satellite-radio capability, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto are standard, as is wireless phone charging. Jaguar provides two 12-volt power ports and two USB ports, as well.
Jaguar doesn’t skimp on driver-aid/safety technologies, which include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. Lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, driver-alert warning, and a surround-view camera are also standard. Adaptive cruise control and front/rear park assist complete the list of driver aids.
Other than a Premium Cabin Lighting Package, Jaguar doesn’t offer any factory-installed options for the P250 S.
Adding the $1,150 destination fee to the P250 S base price brings the total to an estimated $48,150. With no money down, financing for 60 months at 3% interest works out to about $865 per month. See 2023 Jaguar XF P250 S models for sale
2023 Jaguar XF P250S includes:
Surround-view camera – It provides a 360-degree bird’s-eye view around the vehicle. This is particularly valuable when parking.
Auto-dimming mirrors – Using photosensors, they recognize bright headlights closing from behind, automatically dimming the reflection of those lights. Auto-dimming mirrors include the inside rearview and driver-side outboard mirrors.
Proximity keyless entry – If the key fob is on your person, the doors automatically unlock when you touch the door handle. Push-button start is paired with keyless entry.
2023 Jaguar XF P250 SE (starting at $49,300, estimated)
For the small bump in price over the P250 S, the P250 SE adds a few key features. For example, high-beam assist, a power-adjustable steering wheel, and memory for the driver’s seat and outboard mirrors. Also standard are bright pedals, Amazon Alexa, and traffic-sign recognition with Adaptive Speed Limiter.
The P250 S has virtually no factory-installed options, but the P250 SE has several. For instance, the Dynamic Handling Pack provides Configurable Dynamics, Adaptive Dynamics, Adaptive Surface Response, and red brake calipers. Configurable Dynamics allows the driver to configure the XF’s driving characteristics, while Adaptive Dynamics is basically an adaptive suspension. Adaptive Surface Response recognizes low-traction surfaces like mud and distributes engine torque to the wheels accordingly.
The Cold Climate Pack gains you a heated steering wheel, a heated front windshield, and heated wiper nozzles.
There are stand-alone options, as well. For example, heated rear seats and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
Adding the destination fee to the P250 SE base price totals an estimated $50,450. Financing for 60 months at 3% interest with no money down works out to a monthly payment of roughly $907. See 2023 Jaguar XF P250 SE models for sale
2023 Jaguar XF P250 SE includes:
Power-adjustable steering wheel – Changing the height and distance of the steering wheel is as easy as pressing a button.
Traffic-sign recognition – A front-pointing camera captures images of traffic and information signs along the road. It matches them with its database. When it recognizes an important sign, such as Stop, Yield, Speed Limit, and so forth, it flashes the information on one of the vehicle’s displays.
Adaptive Speed Limiter – This system automatically adjusts the vehicle speed to accommodate changing posted speed limits.
2023 Jaguar XF P300 R-Dynamic SE (starting at $52,700, estimated)
A performance-tuned version of the 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine powers the P300 R-Dynamic SE. Consequently, it delivers 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. AWD is standard. Its mileage numbers are 22 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway, and 25 mpg combined.
Other than the engine upgrade and AWD, only a couple of additional noteworthy features appear on the standard-content list. The R-Dynamic appearance elements and contrast stitching on the perforated-leather seating are about it.
Jaguar offers just about all the P250 SE options for the P300 R-Dynamic SE.
Adding the $1,150 destination fee to the P300 R-Dynamic SE base price equals an estimated $53,850. At 3% interest, financing for 60 months with no money down works out to about $968 per month. See 2023 Jaguar P300 R-Dynamic SE models for sale
2023 Jaguar XF P300 R-Dynamic SE includes:
Higher-performance engine – Jaguar retuned the 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine to deliver 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Reaching 60 mph from a standstill requires roughly 5.8 seconds.
AWD – For excellent foul-weather traction, the 8-speed automatic transmission sends engine torque to all four wheels.
R-Dynamic appearance – Black is the theme of the R-Dynamic trim. It’s found on the grille, side vents, window surrounds, trunk lid finisher, and badging.
