2023 Toyota Camry LE: $26,220
The entry-level LE is the least expensive trim in the Camry lineup, but it is in no way lacking.
Powering the LE is a 203-horsepower, 2.5-liter 4-cylinder hitched to an 8-speed automatic transmission. AWD is available but drops the horsepower to 202 and the fuel-tank capacity from 15.8 to 14.4 gallons. For the record, these stats also apply to all 4-cylinder Camry sedans, regardless of trim.
The LE comes standard with a suite of driver assists as part of the Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ (TSS 2.5+) package. The group contains forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control (works at speeds above 25 mph), and Road Sign Assist to detect certain highway road signs and alert the driver.
Other TSS 2.5+ features include lane-departure warning with steering assist that detects when the Camry is drifting from its lane and alerts the driver. If the driver fails to respond, the system will make slight adjustments to the wheel to keep the vehicle from crossing over the lane markers.

The XLE expands on the LE’s standard equipment plus opens the door to far more features, including an available V6 engine. Like the LE and SE, the XLE features a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder. AWD is optional but not offered with the V6.
As one of the most popular trims in the Camry lineup, the XLE brings a lot of value to a $30,000 sedan. Building off the LE, the XLE adds full LED headlights, heated side mirrors with turn signal indicators, Smart Key keyless entry, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
Interior upgrades include a wireless charging pad, an electric parking brake, rear air vents, a 7-inch driver multi-information display, leather upholstery, and an 8-way power passenger seat. Safety improvements include a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert, while the adaptive cruise control gains a full speed range function that allows for low speed follow at speeds down to 1 mph. One downgrade is the A/C system, which moves from dual-zone to single-zone automatic climate control.

To improve overall rigidity, the TRD’s rear seat is fixed in place and does not fold down. Having a big hole in the roof will also lead to body flex, so the sunroof option has also been removed.
