2023 Toyota Venza: Choosing the Right Trim

The 2023 Toyota Venza combines all the best ingredients in Toyota’s wheelhouse into a straightforward formula. The Venza is a 5-passenger midsize crossover equipped with a 219-horsepower hybrid powertrain and standard all-wheel drive (AWD). Venza buyers can choose among four well-equipped trims with only a few options among them, a decision we think makes the buying process a lot less complicated.

While not the largest or most off-road capable midsize SUV, the Venza takes top honors regarding fuel economy, resale value, and style. If you’re looking for something a bit bigger and plusher than a RAV4 but don’t need a 3-row SUV like the Highlander, the Venza might be the perfect fit. Buyers also might check out the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid or the more expensive Lexus RX Hybrid.

New for 2023 is the Nightshade Edition, a slightly sinister-looking version of the XLE trim that makes a bold styling statement.
