Audi’s smallest SUV is still one of its best sellers. The 2024 Audi Q3 packs a lot into a little space, including some of Audi’s best luxury and technology features. Trim levels are reserved to Premium and Premium Plus, featuring standard all-wheel drive.
The Q3 40 serves up 184 horsepower from a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, while the Q3 S line 45 uses the same 2.0-liter engine tuned to deliver 228 hp. Premium and Premium Plus trim levels offer both engines, the more powerful version adding about $2,400 to the bottom line.
Audi isn’t the only luxury brand seeking your approval (and money). Those shopping the Q3 might also look at the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, Lexus UX and NX, and Volvo XC40.

Our Recommendation:
The Audi Q3 S line 45 Premium with the Convenience Package delivers good power and plenty of features at a reasonable price. However, if you equate technology with luxury, the Premium Plus with the Technology Package is the way to go.

2024 Audi Q3 40 Premium: $37,000; Q3 S line 45 Premium: $39,400
The Audi Q3 Premium trim comes in two sublevels identical in nearly every way except for horsepower and torque. Going with the Q3 40 TFSI gets you a 184-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, while the Q3 S line 45 TFSI uses the same motor but delivers 228 hp. The difference is noticeable, especially when attempting to pass or merge. For the extra $2,400, the more powerful 45 TFSI is the better choice.
A quick walk around the 2024 Audi Q3 Premium reveals 18-inch alloy wheels: a 5-Y-spoke design for the 40 and a 5-V-spoke S design for the 45. Other standard features include heated power side mirrors, a power liftgate, a panoramic power sunroof, auto on/off auto-leveling LED headlights, and fob-activated remote keyless entry.
Additional exterior features include dark-tinted rear privacy glass, aluminum roof rails, LED taillights, rain-sensing wipers, a rear roof spoiler, trailer hitch provision, plus body-color bumpers, mirror caps, and door handles.
Turning to the Premium’s cabin, we find leather upholstery, heated 8-way power front seats with 4-way power lumbar support, 40/20/40-split folding/sliding/reclining rear seats, and 3-zone automatic climate control.
The driver enjoys a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and Audi drive select driving modes.
On the entertainment side, Audi’s MMI 10.1-inch touchscreen serves as the control module, granting access to an AM/FM radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and Audi Connect Care apps. A 10-speaker Audi premium sound system comes standard.
The Q3 Premium puts safety front and center with standard forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic detection, lane-departure warning, and adaptive cruise control with lane guidance and Traffic Jam Assist.
Additional safety systems include a rear backup camera, front and rear parking sensors, hill descent control, a tire pressure monitor, and electric rear child locks.
Optional on the Premium is the Convenience Package, which adds Audi Advanced Key proximity keyless entry, auto-dimming power-folding exterior mirrors with memory, LED ambient interior lighting, driver’s seat memory, SiriusXM satellite radio, a wireless charging pad, and a universal garage door opener.
The Black Optic Package brings 19-inch Graphite Gray finish wheels, black exterior trim, and black roof rails. The S line 45’s Black Optic package adds sport seats with the S line logo.
Rear side-impact airbags are one of the few standalone options.

2024 Audi Q3 Premium includes:
- Tri-zone automatic climate control – This system lets you set the temperature in three areas: front right, front left, and rear. It then automatically maintains those preset temperatures.
- High-beam assist – The high beams are always ready if your vehicle has this system. When photosensors or a forward-pointed camera detect oncoming headlights or taillights, the system automatically switches off the high beams. It automatically switches them back on when no vehicle lights are detected.
- Adaptive cruise control – This advanced cruise control maintains a set speed and distance from the traffic ahead. The system includes Traffic Jam Assist, which can steer and brake the vehicle in certain low-speed driving situations, such as when caught in bumper-to-bumper freeway traffic.
2024 Audi Q3 40 Premium Plus: $39,800; Q3 S line 45 Premium Plus: $42,200
Building off the Premium, the 2024 Audi Q3 Premium Plus adds the Convenience Package as standard, then includes a 360-degree top-view camera and 30-color ambient interior LED lighting.
Premium Plus buyers can opt for the Technology Package, which brings Audi Navigation Plus, Amazon Alexa capability, a 12.3-inch digital Virtual Cockpit, SiriusXM 360L, traffic sign recognition, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 680-watt, 15-speaker Sonos sound system.
The S line 45 trim offers a 20-inch wheel and tire package.
