For 2024, Audi adds the Q8 name to its e-tron SUV, helping establish its place as the company’s top-of-the-line EV. Although not as large as its gas-only Q7 SUV, the midsize Q8 e-tron can still comfortably accommodate five adults or two up front and a week’s worth of travel gear stowed behind.
Alongside the Q8 e-tron SUV is its sleeker sibling, the Q8 Sportback e-tron. Both models offer standard all-wheel drive (AWD) from a dual-motor setup.
The Q8 e-tron draws current for its dual electric motors from a 114-kWh battery pack, giving it a range of 285 miles for the SUV and 300 miles for the Sportback.
The price includes up to two years of unlimited charging at any Electrify America DC fast charging station.
While many buyers will cross-shop the Q8 e-tron with the Tesla Model X, they should also check out the Jaguar I-Pace, Genesis GV60, and BMW iX.
The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron does not qualify for a federal tax credit, although ongoing negotiations with the EU may change the status. Be sure to check with your dealer before purchasing.

2024 Audi Q8 e-tron Premium: $74,400
The Premium trim may be the entry-level Q8 e-tron, but we think its standard content list is anything but.
Highlights include full LED headlights with automatic high beams, a hands-free power liftgate, 20-inch alloy wheels, an adaptive air suspension, and a panoramic glass sunroof.
There are also auto-dimming and power-folding heated side mirrors with memory and Audi’s Advanced Key keyless entry that lets the owner unlock the doors and start the Q8 simply by having the key fob close by.
An equally impressive interior roster includes a 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit Plus playing host to a digital instrument cluster. The display is configurable, allowing the driver to choose from several screen themes or display the navigation directions.
A second 8-inch touchscreen operates the 4-zone automatic climate controls, which include a heat pump and preconditioning comfort feature. Rear passengers also get a touchscreen display controlling airflow and temperature to left and right zones.
Just above the climate controls is a 10.1-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, which includes Audi MMI navigation with route planning for identifying charging stations along the way.
Also included are wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, Audi Connect Care (limited-time subscription), and Audi Connect Plus (6-month trial subscription).
Additional cabin amenities include full leather upholstery, leather and Alcantara trim, 8-way power front seats with driver’s 4-way power lumbar support, a heated power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, heated front seats, plus 2-position memory for the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and side mirrors.
Standard driver aids include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, front and rear parking sensors, and Audi’s pre-sense basic that preps the vehicle in the event of an inevitable collision.
Also standard is a blind-spot monitor and adaptive cruise control with active lane assist.
Standalone options include a tow package that increases towing to 4,000 pounds, rear side-impact airbags, illuminated seatbelt buckles, and the Black Optic exterior elements that add black roof rails and trim.
