The Cadillac XT6 is the luxury maker’s midsize SUV offering, providing seating for up to seven passengers and filled with cutting-edge electronics. While not the most luxurious or boldly designed SUV in the segment, the XT6 excels in passenger space, build quality, and advanced driver aids, such as the Super Cruise semiautonomous highway driving assistant.
Cadillac offers buyers an efficient turbocharged 4-cylinder engine or a powerful V6, the latter ideal for those with towing needs. It also provides the choice of front-wheel or all-wheel drive. However, if you’re looking for a hybrid or pure EV, you’ll need to look elsewhere, as Cadillac doesn’t offer either.
XT6 buyers can choose from three trims: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport. The three differences are enough to help the XT6 compete against various rivals, including the Genesis GV80, Lincoln Aviator, Lexus RX, and Acura MDX.

2024 Cadillac XT6 Luxury: $48,795 (FWD), $50,795 (AWD)
The XT6 Luxury is the most affordable trim, nicely equipped but lacking certain features (such as adaptive cruise control) that should be standard in a luxury car. Still, the price point is tempting, undercutting some competitors’ entry-level models by thousands of dollars.
The XT6 Luxury features a 237-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, a 9-speed automatic transmission, and three selectable drive modes: Snow/Ice, Touring, and Sport. All-wheel-drive (AWD) models come with Touring, Off-Road, and Sport modes.
The XT6 Luxury kicks off its standard equipment roster with Cadillac’s Smart System suite of driver assists. Included are automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist with lane-departure warning, lane-change alert with a blind-spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic detection.
Additional safety features include front and rear parking sensors, a vibrating safety alert driver’s seat, rear seat reminder, automatic high-beam headlights, an HD rear vision camera, and a following distance indicator, which helps the driver avoid tailgating by displaying following time to the vehicle ahead.
Complementing the XT6’s clean exterior design are automatic on/off LED headlamps, front cornering lamps, power-folding heated side mirrors with driver’s side auto-dimming, and an oversized glass sunroof.
Keyless Open keyless entry allows unlocking the doors with the key fob in a purse or pocket. The fob also has a remote start feature that operates up to 200 feet from the car.
The XT6 Luxury includes a power liftgate, 18-inch alloy wheels, deep-tinted rear privacy glass, a rear spoiler, and silver roof rails. You’ll also get an 18-inch compact spare tire and a road emergency tool kit.
Moving to the cabin, the Luxury provides a comfortable place for seven, with a usable third-row seat that can comfortably fit two adults. Synthetic leather upholstery comes standard with heated front seats, an 8-way power driver’s seat with 2-position memory (seat only), a 6-way power passenger seat, and a tilt/telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Amenities include cruise control, one-touch up/down power front windows, one-touch-down rear power windows, six USB charge ports, and tri-zone automatic climate control with rear-seat controls, humidity sensor, and cabin air filter.
Infotainment duties are covered by an 8-inch color touchscreen incorporating wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hot spot, OnStar, and Cadillac connected apps. The system includes natural voice recognition, personalized driver profiles, and an 8-speaker Bose premium audio system.
The Luxury offers the option of a few dealer add-ons and two styling packages: Radiant and Onyx.
With the $1,395 delivery charge, the 2024 Cadillac XT6 Luxury costs $50,190. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $947. See 2024 Cadillac XT6 Luxury models for sale near you
2024 Cadillac XT6 Luxury includes:
- Bose audio – The Luxury trim’s 8-speaker Bose audio system brings music to life. It’s a nice departure from most entry-level systems.
- Power liftgate – A programable power liftgate makes it especially easy to access the cargo area.
- Driver’s seat memory – This 8-way power driver seat includes 2-position memory, so you’ll never have to search once you find the perfect position.
2024 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury: $54,995 (FWD), $56,995 (AWD)
If a luxury SUV is what you’re seeking, this is the trim we recommend. The XT6 Premium Luxury builds off the base Luxury trim, adding a 310-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 engine that, in our opinion, is the right engine for this vehicle.
In Cadillac’s eyes, Premium Luxury means having a hands-free power liftgate, 20-inch polished wheels, and rain-sensing wipers.
The interior undergoes significant improvement, adding heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and perforated leather upholstery.
There’s also a power tilt/telescoping heated steering wheel, an 8-way power passenger seat, driver and passenger 2-way power lumbar support, and a wireless charging pad.
The driver’s seat memory system expands to include settings for the side mirrors and power tilt/telescoping steering column.
The infotainment setup adds navigation and a 14-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system. The Premium Luxury also receives an updated security system featuring an inclination sensor (alerts when the vehicle is being towed) and an interior motion sensor that can detect unauthorized entry.
Buyers can choose from several options, the most compelling being the Super Cruise hands-free highway driving assistant. However, due to its older architecture, the XT6 doesn’t get the latest Super Cruise updates, so it can’t automatically change lanes or cover as many highway miles as the system in newer Cadillacs.
Opting for Super Cruise means signing up for the Driver Assist and Technology packages.
The Driver Assist Package brings adaptive cruise control, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking. At the same time, the Technology Package adds an 8-inch color digital gauge cluster, a head-up display, a rear camera mirror with a lens washer, an HD Surround Vision camera, automatic parking assist, and rear automatic pedestrian alert.
Additional upgrades include Night Vision, an infrared imaging system that lets you see people or animals beyond the headlight’s beam. Also available are second-row captain’s chairs and a Smart Towing Package featuring hitch guidance via Cadillac’s Hitch View camera system.
Check the box for the Platinum Package, and you’ll get semi-aniline leather upholstery, additional leather on the dash pad, console, and door panels, and a suede microfiber headliner. The package also includes premium headlights, backlit door handles, adaptive shock dampers, and the FE5 performance suspension.
With the $1,395 delivery charge, the 2024 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury costs $56,390. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $1,064. See 2024 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury models for sale near you
2024 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury includes:
- Ventilated front seats – The XT6’s ventilated front seats circulate air through the perforated leather, helping keep your backside cool and dry.
- V6 engine – The standard 3.6-liter V6 has the power to merge and pass slow-moving traffic with ease.
- Available Super Cruise – GM’s Super Cruise allows hands-free driving over thousands of miles of authorized highways.
2024 Cadillac XT6 Sport: $60,295
The Sport comes standard with the V6 engine, AWD, a performance suspension with driver-selectable modes, adaptive shock dampers, and Brembo 6-piston front disc brakes. The Sport trim rides on 20-inch 12-spoke Diamond Cut alloy wheels and features gloss-black roof rails and additional blacked-out exterior trim.
The Sport gets a heavy-duty cooling system, a twin-clutch AWD system that varies torque to the left or right wheels, and an additional driver-selectable performance mode. Apart from those add-ons, the Sport’s standard and optional equipment mimics the Premium Luxury.
A few additional styling packages are unique to the Sport, including the Blue Accent Package, Bronze Accent Package, Red Accent Package, and Onyx Lite Package. Sport buyers can also upgrade to 21-inch wheels.
With the $1,395 delivery charge, the 2024 Cadillac XT6 Sport costs $61,690. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $1,164. See 2024 Cadillac XT6 Sport models for sale near you
2024 Cadillac XT6 Sport includes:
- Adaptive suspension – The Sport’s adaptive shock dampers automatically adjust in milliseconds, helping keep the ride smooth and controlled regardless of the road surface.
- Brembo brakes – The Sport includes big 6-piston Brembo front brakes for improved stopping power.
- Available head-up display – Part of the Technology Package, the XT6’s head-up display projects pertinent driver information onto the windshield, which can be viewed without taking one’s eyes off the road.
