The 2024 Genesis G70 offers a viable alternative to pricey European sports sedans, delivering exhilarating performance at a price that puts all competitors to shame.
Genesis offers buyers a choice of two G70 trims. The new 2.5T has a 300-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, while the 3.3T upgrades to a twin-turbocharged V6 good for 365 hp. An 8-speed automatic with shift-by-wire paddle shifters is the only transmission choice.
Buyers can choose between rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations regardless of trim.
The 2.5T and 3.3T have robust standard equipment lists, with even more packed into the optional Sport Prestige and Advanced packages. But the cherry atop the G70 sundae is Genesis’ standard 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, a peace of mind contract you’ll pay thousands more to get far fewer years and miles of coverage on a comparable Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 Series, Lexus IS, or Audi A4.
Let’s dig down and explore which G70 is right for you.

What’s New:
Last year’s 2.0-liter turbocharged engine in the base model is out, replaced by a spunky 300-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter unit. The newly named 2.5T trim gets Brembo brakes and dual exhaust, while all trims receive new features, such as a touch-panel climate control display, a frameless rearview mirror, and a redesigned key fob. Two new two-tone Fog Gray interior upholstery options replace the Sandstorm Gray.
Our Recommendation:
The G70 2.5T with the Sport Prestige Package is probably the best bang for the buck if you’re not all about power, performance, and cutting-edge tech. It provides plenty of luxury features, good performance, and a reasonable price. However, if you want a car that acts more BMW than Lexus, the 3.3T with the Sport Prestige option is the one to get.

2024 Genesis G70 2.5T: $41,500 (RWD), $43,600 (AWD)
Given its entry-level status, the new G70 2.5T might have buyers thinking, “Why look any further?” With 300 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque on tap, the G70 2.5T offers more standard horsepower and more standard features than its most popular competitor set.
The 2.5 T’s goodness starts with its ability to keep its driver and passenger safe, outfitted with a formidable collection of standard driver-assist systems, including forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection. The system goes further with Junction Turning, a feature that intervenes if it senses danger when making a left turn across oncoming traffic.
Other driver assists include lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert with rear emergency braking, and lane-following assist. Standard navigation-based adaptive cruise control with stop/go uses the navigation maps to anticipate sharp curves ahead and slow the vehicle to a safe speed, while automatic high-beam headlights automatically dim or illuminate as needed.
Highway Driving Assist works with the adaptive cruise to help keep the car centered in its lane at speeds between 0 and 95 mph and maintains a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. The system can also monitor posted speed limits and adjust speed accordingly.
The G70 also features a driver attention monitor, rear occupant alert (reminds the driver to check the back seat before leaving the vehicle), a rearview camera, and a Safe Exit Warning that warns the driver if a passenger is about to open their door into traffic approaching from the rear.
Beyond the mandated front and side-impact airbags, the G70 includes a center airbag between the driver and front-seat passenger to help mitigate contact during a side-impact collision.
A walk around the G70 2.5T reveals handsome 19-inch alloy wheels (with Brembo brakes behind), LED headlights and taillights, a hands-free power-open trunk lid, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators, and a proximity key fob for locking and unlocking the doors when touching the door handle.
The G70 cabin employs simulated leather upholstery on the seats, lower instrument panel, and door panels. Amenities include a 12-way power driver’s seat with 4-way power lumbar support, an 8-way power passenger seat, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control with touch-style display, and one-touch up/down power windows.
Also standard is a manual tilt/telescopic steering wheel with paddle shifters and audio, Bluetooth, and adaptive cruise control controls. The driver can choose from several drive modes controlling throttle and steering feedback, with Comfort, Smart, Eco, Sport, Sport +, and Custom settings.
The G70’s instrument cluster includes an analog speedometer flanked by an 8-inch driver-customizable color screen with a simulated analog tachometer, while the windshield has an auto-defogging feature. Other standard features worth noting include rear-seat air vents, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, sliding sun visors with lighted vanity mirrors, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Atop the G70 dash is a 10.25-inch infotainment color touchscreen featuring navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and three years of complimentary Genesis connected services. The infotainment system employs 6-speaker audio, voice recognition, and the ability for over-the-air updates.
Available USB ports include two data/charge ports up front, one USB charge port in the center console, and one USB charge port in the rear seat area.
An optional Sport Prestige package ($4,200) adds 19-inch Sport alloy wheels, leather upholstery, passenger seat 4-way power lumbar support, passenger walk-in device, and an integrated memory system for the driver’s seat, mirrors, and power steering column. Also included are front-door acoustic glass, a power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, and an expansive power sunroof.
Other features in the Sport Prestige package are a dark chrome grille, sport aluminum trim, ventilated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, front and rear parking sensors, a wireless charging pad, power-folding auto-dimming side mirrors, and a 660-watt 15-speaker Lexicon sound system.
Opting for all-wheel drive also adds a heated steering wheel to the mix.
With the $1,195 destination charge, the 2024 Genesis G70 2.5T costs $42,695. On a 60-month loan with 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to about $806. See 2024 Genesis G70 2.5T models for sale near you
2024 Genesis G70 2.5T includes:
Adaptive cruise control – When using cruise control, this system allows the driver to maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead, slowing and even bringing the car to a complete stop as traffic patterns change, then resuming speed once traffic begins to move.
Power driver’s seat – The G70’s driver seat adjusts 12 ways, including 4-way power lumbar support that moves up and down as well as in and out.
Hands-free power trunk – Offers multiple ways to automatically open the trunk, including a hands-free option requiring that you momentarily stand behind the trunk with the key fob in your purse or pocket.
2024 Genesis G70 3.3T: $49,950 (RWD), $52,050 (AWD)
Moving up to the G70 3.3T adds a 365-hp twin-turbocharged V6 engine, launch control, a sport-tuned suspension, larger front and rear vented disc brakes, and variable-ratio power steering.
Building off the G70 2.0 T’s standard equipment, the 3.3T adds leather upholstery, power-folding outside mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and passenger seat 4-way power lumbar support. A passenger walk-in device puts two front-passenger seat-control buttons on the seatback facing the driver. It allows an empty front-passenger seat to be moved forward or aft to accommodate back-seat passengers better. The 3.3T also has a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel and integrated memory for the driver’s seat, mirrors, and power steering column.
The G70 3.3T offers two option packages.
The Sport Advanced Package ($0) adds 19-inch Sport alloy wheels, a variable exhaust valve system (changes the sound of the exhaust note while boosting horsepower), sport aluminum trim, a wide power sunroof, ventilated front seats, and the 15-speaker Lexicon audio system.
It also includes driver’s seat power bolsters, an extendable seat cushion, front and rear parking sensors, a wireless charging device, front-door acoustic glass, and Genesis Digital Key.
Digital Key grants access to the vehicle either via a credit card-sized key card or an app on your smartphone. With Digital Key, you can share access to your car with up to three other people and store driver profiles with settings for radio stations, climate control, driver seat, steering wheel, mirror position, vehicle settings, and, if equipped, head-up display.
The Sport Prestige Package ($4,400) includes all the equipment in the Sport Advanced Package, then adds an electronically controlled suspension, a limited-slip differential, and a head-up display.
Also, the Sport Prestige Package upgrades the interior appointments to Nappa leather upholstery with a luxury quilting pattern and microfiber suede headliner and pillar trim. It adds a 360-degree surround-view monitor, a blind-spot view monitor, a heated steering wheel, and a power-closing trunk.
As with the 2.5T, opting for all-wheel drive also brings a heated steering wheel.
With the $1,195 destination charge, the 2024 Genesis G70 3.3T costs $51,145. On a 60-month loan with 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to about $965. See 2024 Genesis G70 3.3T for sale near you
