The 2024 GMC Acadia puts a more elegant spin on the family SUV with an eye toward affluent buyers looking for the latest technology and creature comforts. The Acadia has always been praised for its roomy interior, including a vast cargo area behind the third row, a feature this new version retains. Building on success, GMC ups the ante with an impressive list of standard equipment and unique styling that should help the 2024 Acadia attract new buyers.
Keeping it simple, GMC limits trims to just three: Elevation, AT4, and Denali. All are powered by a 328-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine running power to the front wheels on the Elevation and Denali. All-wheel drive (AWD) is optional except on the AT4, which comes standard with an upgraded AWD system featuring Active Torque Control.

2024 GMC Acadia Elevation: $43,000 (estimate)
The new Elevation trim replaces last year’s SLE and SLT trims, creating a rather luxurious entry-level Acadia. We suspect it will be the sales leader, especially since GMC allows buyers to add upgrades, making it nearly as nice as the Denali.
The Elevation has room for seven passengers, with standard second-row Smart Slide captain’s chairs and a 60/40-split folding third-row seat. The driver and front passenger enjoy heated power seats with 4-way power lumbar support. CoreTec simulated leather upholstery covers all three rows.
From the driver’s seat, you’ll see an 11-inch digital display and a 15-inch high-contrast color infotainment touchscreen to your right. Google built-in comes standard, as do wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, personalized profiles, natural voice recognition, connected apps, OnStar services, and navigation. SiriusXM 360L and a Wi-Fi hot spot are also included.
There are six USB ports throughout the 2024 GMC Acadia’s cabin, with one Type-A and one Type-C in the first and second rows and two Type-A in the third row.
A 12-speaker Bose audio system ensures your music will always be treated right.
Additional amenities include tri-zone automatic climate control, a heated steering wheel, active noise cancellation, a 120-volt outlet, one-touch down power windows with driver’s one-touch up, a tilt/telescoping steering column, a wireless charging pad, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Moving to the Elevation exterior, we find a Smart Sense hands-free power liftgate, heated side mirrors, automatic on/off LED headlights, rear privacy glass, 20-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, and a rear camera washer. Keyless Open allows you to unlock or lock the doors or open the liftgate without removing the key fob from your purse or pocket.
The Elevation’s most impressive content is its standard driver-assist and safety systems. They include enhanced automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and a follow-distance indicator that warns when driving too close to the vehicle ahead. A safety alert seat vibrates to warn of danger, traffic sign recognition, speed limit assist, and an HD Surround Vision camera.
Additional items like automatic high-beam headlights, lane change alert with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic detection, and reverse automatic braking come standard, along with rear pedestrian crossing alert, side bicyclist alert, and an LED Collison Alert windshield (flashes a red alert signal onto the windshield), Buckle to Drive, rear parking sensors, and intersection automatic braking.
Optional packages for the Elevation include a Luxury Package that adds a head-up display, heated wiper resting pads, and heated second-row seats.
The Super Cruise Package brings automatic parking assist and Super Cruise, GM’s hand-free driving technology that steers, accelerates, and brakes, all without driver input.
The Black Edition adds black highlights and 22-inch gloss-black wheels.
Other upgrades include a panoramic sunroof, a Performance Suspension, and a Trailering Package that adds Hitch Guidance and Hitch View assist.

2024 GMC Acadia AT4: $46,500 (estimate)
The AT4 is the roughneck of the Acadia lineup. It’s still as plush and comfortable as the Elevation, but its upgraded AWD system, hill descent control, hill-hold assist, and off-road-tuned Performance Suspension make it a more capable off-road SUV.
The AT4 gains some of the Elevation’s optional equipment as standard, chiefly the Trailering Package, heavy-duty cooling system, and 220-amp alternator.
The AT4 adds cloth and CoreTec upholstery, unique exterior trim, gloss black roof rails, red front recovery hooks, underbody skid plates, and all-terrain tires.
Options for the AT4 include an enhanced Super Cruise Package with a rear camera mirror and an upgraded Luxury Package (see Elevation trim) that adds heated and ventilated front seats.
