There’s one significant change for the 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid: The sporty Tucson N Line model — available last year exclusively as a non-hybrid model — is now sold only with the hybrid powertrain.
This means the 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid can be ordered in four trim levels: Blue, SEL Convenience, N Line, and Limited. All come with standard all-wheel drive (AWD).
Why might you consider a Tucson Hybrid over a standard gasoline-engine model? Two reasons: improved fuel efficiency and better power.
That’s right; the Tucson Hybrid returns up to 38 mpg combined driving while having a gas/electric powertrain (a turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 44.2-kW electric motor) that produces 226 total horsepower. The most-efficient gasoline-powered Tucson, equipped with a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, produces 187 horsepower and returns 28 mpg combined.
That stated, the non-hybrid 2024 Tucson models, covered here, start at about $5,000 less than the Tucson Hybrid.
The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid continues to compete with the likes of other gas-electric compact SUVs like the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, Honda CR-V Hybrid, Ford Escape Hybrid, and the Kia Sportage Hybrid.
With its EPA ratings of up to 38 mpg city/38 mpg highway/38 mpg combined, the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is impressive but still not quite as fuel efficient as the top Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, which is rated by the EPA at 41 mpg city/38 mpg highway/40 mpg combined.
However, the best arrow in the Tucson Hybrid’s quiver continues to be its superb 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
The max towing capacity of the 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is 2,000 pounds.

2024 Hyundai Tucson Blue Hybrid: $32,325
The Tucson Blue Hybrid is equipped much like the non-hybrid Tucson SEL. As such, it’s positioned as the value model, offering abundant standard equipment at an attractive price.
To that end, the Blue Hybrid has 17-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lights, high-beam assist, handy features like remote keyless entry, a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, and a push-button starter. Dual-zone automatic climate control, a reclining 60/40-split folding rear seat, four USB ports, and a 4.2-inch driver-info display are standard, too.
The Tucson Blue Hybrid driver gets treated to a heated, power-adjustable seat, plus a 10.25-inch navigation touchscreen. Additionally, the Tucson Blue Hybrid gets a hands-free power rear liftgate, a wireless smartphone charger, Hyundai Digital Key, and the Bluelink+ Connected Car Service. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, requiring a wired connection, also come standard on the Tucson Blue Hybrid.
