The 2024 Wagoneer and its stretched alter ego, the Wagoneer L, move Jeep into the upscale full-size SUV category, taking on heavyweights like the Ford Explorer, GMC Yukon Denali, and Chevrolet’s Tahoe and Suburban duo. The hook for Wagoneer buyers is Jeep’s decades-long off-road expertise, giving the Wagoneer bonafide off-road credentials few can match.
Jeep offers the Wagoneer in three trims: Wagoneer, Wagoneer Series II, and Wagoneer Series III.
The Wagoneer provides ample interior accommodations. The Wagoneer L’s wheelbase is stretched seven inches to create a roomier third-row seat and massive cargo-carrying ability.
Unlike some rivals, the Wagoneer doesn’t offer many engine options, with no hybrid or V8 in the lineup. However, the twin-turbocharged Hurricane 6-cylinder seems more than up to moving the Wagoneer along, with enviable towing and fuel economy figures.
If you’re looking for more power, luxury, and towing ability, the Grand Wagoneer might be worth checking out (reviewed separately).

What’s New:
The 2024 Wagoneer is no longer available with a V8. The Series III Wagoneer is no longer available as a 4×2 model.
Our Recommendation:
We’d get a Series II Wagoneer and add a few option packages. But true audiophiles should splurge for the Series III and its available 19-speaker McIntosh audio system.

2024 Jeep Wagoneer: $61,595, Wagoneer L: $65,545
The entry-level Wagoneer is uncommonly well-equipped for a base model. It comes standard with rear-wheel drive (RWD) and limited-slip differential but offers the option of Jeep’s Quadra-Trac I full-time single-speed 4-wheel drive (4WD), which adds $3,000 to the bottom line.
When opting for 4WD, the Wagoneer includes the Select Terrain system with five different driver settings: Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, and Mud/Sand.
Additional mechanical features include a load-leveling rear suspension, a 26.5-gallon fuel tank, and a Class IV trailer hitch receiver built into the frame at the factory.
The base Wagoneer rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and comes with deep-tinted rear privacy glass, acoustic laminated front-door glass and windshield, power heated side mirrors with a tilt-down in reverse feature, and an auto-dimming driver’s side mirror.
Mirror approach lamps light the way when you approach the vehicle, while a hands-free power liftgate makes it easy to load or unload cargo without needing to reach for the key or a liftgate button.
The Wagoneer uses LED lighting extensively, including headlights, cornering-illuminating fog lights, taillights, third brake lights, and liftgate puddle lights.
Jeep’s Keyless Enter-n-Go allows unlocking the door by touching the handle, so long as the vehicle recognizes the proximity key fob.
Rounding out the Wagoneer’s exterior features are a rear wiper/washer, roof rack, active grille shutters (close at highway speeds to improve aerodynamics), and body side steps.
The Wagoneer’s interior is a pleasant place, with standard Capri leather upholstery, heated and ventilated 8-way power front seats with 4-way lumbar support, and a heated power tilt/telescoping steering wheel. There’s also a memory setting for the driver’s seat and side mirrors.
Jeep continues to place the controls for audio volume and station selection on the backside of the steering wheel, meaning you’ll have to remember which controls do what because they are not marked.
The Wagoneer’s 40/20/40 second-row seat features a power tilt and slide feature, making it easier to get to the third row. They also have a 60/40 fold-and-recline feature. The third-row seats include remote-folding headrests.
Wagoneer amenities include tri-zone automatic climate control, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, power-adjustable pedals, cruise control, and a 115-volt outlet.
Audio and infotainment come from Jeep’s Uconnect 5 with TomTom navigation. The system includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, SiriusXM 360L, and integrated voice command.
Through TomTom apps, buyers have access to travel and traffic information. In contrast, the Wagoneer Connected apps open the door to a Wi-Fi hot spot, remote start and unlocking, service updates, and vehicle reminders.
A 9-speaker Alpine audio system comes standard and includes a powered subwoofer.
Standard safety and driver-assist systems include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors with braking, a rear backup camera, remote start, and selectable tire-fill alert system (lets you know when you’ve reached the proper tire pressure).
Jeep also includes a reminder to check the Wagoneer’s rear seats before exiting the vehicle.
Oddly, some features standard on most competitors are optional for the Wagoneer. These include lane-keeping assist, automatic high-beam headlights, and adaptive cruise control.
Options for the Wagoneer are mostly bundled into packages. The Convenience Group adds lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlights, heated second-row seats, rain-sensing wipers, and a wireless charging pad.
Also included are a 360-degree Surround-View camera, heated second-row seats, ParkSense parallel and perpendicular park assist, a cargo management system, and rear door manual sunshades.
The Premium Group adds 20-inch wheels and a tri-pane panoramic sunroof, while the Rear Seat Entertainment Group brings Amazon Fire TV and dual 10-inch monitors.
Four-wheel-drive models offer the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package that adds Quadra-Drive II 4WD with a 2-speed transfer case, front and rear tow hooks, heavy-duty engine cooler, Selec-Speed control, Trailer Brake Control, Trailer Hitch Lineup Assist (uses the rearview camera) and Trailer Hitch Zoom (lets you zoom in on the hitch).
Standalone options include a passenger-side interactive display monitor and 20-inch wheels.
With the $2,000 destination charge, the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer costs $63,595. On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $1,200. See 2024 Jeep Wagoneer models for sale near you

2024 Jeep Wagoneer Series II: $66,695, Wagoneer L Series II: $73,645
The Series II elevates the Wagoneer’s luxury and capabilities, bringing along several base model options as standard and opening the door to more upgrades.
While it retains the same engine, transmission, and optional 4WD upgrades, the Series II offers the Quadra-Lift air suspension. This system replaces steel springs with airbags that raise or lower the Wagoneer, adding 3.6 inches of lift when needed.
Series II exterior enhancements include 20-inch wheels, rain-sensing wipers, and a rear backup camera washer.
Building off the base trim, the Series II adds Nappa leather upholstery, memory for the power steering wheel and power-adjustable pedals, rain-sensing wipers, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and full-speed forward collision warning.
Optional packages beyond the base Wagoneer include heated second-row captain’s-chair seating and a power-folding/reclining third-row seat.
The Series II Convenience Group adds more equipment to the package, including a head-up display, driver drowsiness detection, Intersection Collision Assist, a 360-degree Surround View Monitor, and traffic sign recognition.
The Carbide Package adds 20-inch gloss-black wheels, piano black exterior accents, black interior accents, and the tri-pane panoramic sunroof.
The Wagoneer Series II 4×4 offers the Advanced All-Terrain Group, which features 18-inch off-road aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires, a 2-speed on-demand transfer case, a 3.92:1 rear axle ratio, chrome tow hooks, electronic rear limited-slip differential, Quadra-Lift air suspension, Selec-Speed control, semi-active suspension damping, and skid plates covering the front axle, fuel tank, and transfer case.

- Adaptive cruise control – This system keeps a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, slowing or accelerating as needed. The Wagoneer can be brought to a complete stop if needed.
- Available parallel park assist – Find an open parking spot, activate the system, and the Wagoneer will steer while you work the brake, shift lever, and accelerator.
2024 Jeep Wagoneer Series III: $77,195, Wagoneer L Series III: $81,145
Building off the Series II, the Series III adds standard 4WD, the Quadra-Trac II system with a 2-speed transfer case, the Quadra-Lift air suspension, adaptive suspension damping, and Selec-Speed control that acts like cruise control when low-speed off-roading.
Additional equipment includes automatic high-beam headlights, heated second-row seats, a power-folding third-row seat, a head-up display, and a wireless charging pad.
Available equipment packages for the Series III include the Premium Group that adds a 950-watt 19-speaker McIntosh audio system, 22-inch polished wheels, adjustable roof rail crossbars, power deployable running boards, luxury floor mats, and the tri-pane panoramic sunroof.
