The 2024 Kia Telluride brings cutting-edge technology and style to the 3-row midsize SUV party. It then tosses in pricing that undercuts just about every competitor and something you won’t find on a Honda Pilot, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chevrolet Traverse, or Subaru Ascent: a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. You’d have to choose the Telluride’s corporate cousin, the Hyundai Palisade, to find that.
The Telluride comes in no fewer than 10 trims, meaning Kia has just about every base covered. Buyers can pick from a basic but well-equipped LX, opt for one of two off-road capable X-Pro models, or go full luxury with the SX Prestige.
LX and EX trims provide seating for eight, with all other trims offering 7-passenger seating courtesy of second-row captain’s chairs.
A 291-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 provides the power regardless of trim. The LX, S, and EX trims run power to their front wheels, while all others come standard with all-wheel drive (AWD), which is optional on the front-wheel-drive (FWD) trims.
The only thing missing from the Telluride feature set is a hybrid engine option. You’ll need to look to the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid or Ford Explorer Hybrid for that.

The EX trim has so many great features at a price that remains well below $45,000; it’s the best value. Its robust safety systems, added luxury features, and available AWD makes it the perfect family hauler. However, if you’re looking for more tech, better audio, and more safety systems, the SX provides all that for about $4,200 more.

2024 Kia Telluride LX: $35,990 (FWD), $37,990 (AWD)
The entry-level LX comes surprisingly well-equipped. It includes seating for eight, a robust V6 engine, and a 5,000-pound tow rating.
Driver safety is paramount, so the Telluride’s standard Drive Wise driver-assist roster features automatic emergency braking with pedestrian, cyclist, and junction-turning detection.
It also comes with a lane-keeping assist, lane-departure warning, lane-centering, a blind-spot monitor, rear cross-traffic detection, rear parking sensors, and a driver attention monitor.
Automatic high-beam headlights, Safe Exit Assist, a rear backup camera, and rear occupant alert with ultrasonic sensors round out the package.
The standard navigation system ties in with the adaptive cruise control, negotiating speed reduction if necessary for curves. The system also can show the posted speed limit, meaning you’ll never have to guess if you’re over the limit.
Highway Driving Assist 1.5 can steer and brake the Telluride under certain conditions when using adaptive cruise control.
The LX rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, and features LED headlights and daytime running lights, heated side mirrors, rear privacy glass, variable wipers, a remote start, and a rear spoiler.
SynTex faux-leather upholstery graces the LX cabin, which features manual front seats, a 60/40-split folding second-row bench seat (with a one-touch slide-and-fold feature), and second-row seat-release buttons in the cargo area.
