A staple of the American full-size luxury SUV clan, the 2024 Lincoln Navigator continues to offer sumptuous interiors, bold styling, and enough muscle to satisfy a long-haul trucker.
Lincoln offers the Navigator in standard and Navigator L long-wheelbase forms, the latter stretching the wheelbase by nine inches, creating a larger cargo area behind the third-row seat.
Although its primary rival is the Cadillac Escalade, the Navigator is also an excellent match to the Infiniti QX80, Lexus LX, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
The sole engine available in the 2024 Lincoln Navigator is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost twin-turbo V6 rated at 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission delivers power to all four wheels.
The EPA rates this big and luxurious American SUV at 16 mpg city/22 mpg highway/18 mpg combined. That makes it more efficient than the V8-powered Escalade with 4-wheel drive (4WD) but less efficient than the Cadillac with the optional turbodiesel engine. The standard Navigator has a 23-gallon fuel tank; the Navigator L has a 27-gallon tank. Both have a driving range of over 400 miles.
The Navigator comes in three trims, offering plenty of optional upgrades to give buyers more say in designing their ride. The entry-level Premiere is surprisingly well equipped, with the Reserve and Black Label offering more advanced technology and ultra-luxury fittings.

What’s New:
Four-wheel drive (4WD) is standard across the 2024 Lincoln Navigator lineup. The base Navigator has been renamed the Premiere, and the standard voice-activated navigation now includes a 1-year subscription trial period.
Our Recommendation:
For most luxury SUV shoppers, the midrange Lincoln Navigator Reserve trim is the best buy because it has a long list of premium features but a price below the $100,000 mark.

2024 Lincoln Navigator Premiere: $82,765, Navigator L Premiere: $85,760
The Premiere offers a healthy combination of luxury and technology at a price that some buyers will find appealing.
The Premiere’s equipment begins with safety in mind. Lincoln’s Co-Pilot360 2.0 comes with numerous driver aids, such as forward collision warning with pedestrian and intersection detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, evasive steering assists (sharpens steering response when making an emergency maneuver), and a blind-spot monitor with trailer coverage.
You’ll also find rear-cross traffic detection, rear automatic braking, front, side, and rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, a 360-degree monitor with a rear camera washer, speed sign recognition, and full-speed adaptive cruise control with stop/go and lane-centering.
The Navigator Premiere also features a self-parking assistant and a 90-day trial subscription to BlueCruise, Lincoln’s hands-free semi-autonomous driving feature for use on approved highways.
Moving to the Premiere’s mechanical roster reveals an adaptive suspension that can preview the road ahead. By doing so, the system constantly adjusts the suspension to ensure a smooth and controlled ride.
Additional features include auto brake hold (holds the vehicle after stopping so you don’t have to keep your foot on the brake pedal), a single-speed transfer case, and five selectable drive modes: Conserve, Deep Conditions, Excite, Normal, and Slippery.
A quick walk around the Premiere exterior reveals 20-inch machined alloy wheels, a power rear liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, power-extendable running boards, acoustic lamented side glass, LED fog lights, and auto-leveling adaptive LED headlights that turn in the direction of the steering wheel.
Additional features include auto-folding heated side mirrors with driver’s side auto-dimming, a proximity key fob that allows locking and unlocking the doors by touching the handle, a chrome roof rack, remote start, SecuriCode keyless entry keypad, and active grille shutters that close at highway speeds to improve aerodynamics.
The Premiere’s cabin is awash in luxury features. Among the more notable are a power tilt/telescoping heated steering wheel, ambient interior lighting, a 12-inch configurable digital instrument cluster, power-adjustable pedals, and tri-zone, 3-row automatic climate controls with rear controls and vents.
Faux leather (Lincoln calls it “soft-touch”) upholstery covers all three rows of seats. These include 10-way heated and ventilated front seats, heated and ventilated power-fold 40/passthrough/40 second-row seats, and a power-folding third-row seat. Additionally, the driver’s seat has memory for the seat, mirrors, steering wheel, and pedals.
Rounding out the interior highlights of the Navigator Premiere are a 110-volt outlet, a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror, one-touch up/down power windows, a wireless charging pad, and genuine wood accents.
With the standard Sync 4 infotainment system, you get a 13.2-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Also standard: SiriusXM with 360L, HD Radio, voice-activated navigation, a Wi-Fi hot spot, personal profiles, and a Revel 14-speaker premium audio system. Lincoln Connect apps give access to all manner of services, from maintenance reminders to a vehicle locator. You can even turn your phone into a key.
An optional Navigator Plus Exterior Package adds 22-inch wheels, illumination for the power running boards, and a panoramic Vista Roof.
Adding a destination fee of $1,895, the starting price of a 2024 Lincoln Navigator Premiere comes to $84,660. If you get a Navigator with a 60-month loan at 5% interest with $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $1,598. See 2024 Lincoln Navigator Premiere models for sale near you
