The Mercedes-EQ EQE sedan is an EV with everything we love about the Mercedes-Benz brand. It’s a high-tech luxury car with a comfortable cabin full of high-quality materials and the latest technology, with options like the massive digital Hyperscreen dash. It also has the customizability you want from a luxury car, and its selection of electric powertrains lets you choose the balance of performance, range, and cost that’s right for you.
The chief rival of the Mercedes-EQ EQE is the BMW i5. A couple of more affordable options include the Tesla Model 3 and Polestar 2.
What’s New:
The 2024 Mercedes-EQ EQE has a revised regenerative braking system for an improved brake feel. To improve range, 4Matic-equipped models can now disconnect the front axle. Also, the battery’s energy density has been improved, while a heat pump is now standard to give the EQE better range in cold climates.
Our Recommendation:
We recommend the EQE 350 4Matic. We like the addition of all-wheel drive (AWD) and the extra torque compared to the EQE 350+, and it still gets impressive range. When you go up to the EQE 500 or AMG EQE, it reaches the pricing territory of the Lucid Air and Porsche Taycan.
