2024 Mitsubishi Outlander ES: $28,395
The base Outlander ES is a bargain-priced 7-seat SUV starting at under $30,000. Although it’s the base model, the ES has plenty of modern safety and infotainment tech features.
Power comes from a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine rated at 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the front wheels via a CVT automatic transmission. All-wheel drive (Mitsubishi calls it Super All-Wheel Control, or S-AWC) is available for $1,800. When you add AWD, you also get six drive modes (Tarmac, Gravel, Snow, Normal, Eco, Mud)
Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, 7-passenger seating, dual-zone automatic climate control, push-button start, USB-A and USB-C ports, a 7-inch multi-information display, an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and SiriusXM.
Standard safety tech features in the ES trim include forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams.
Other than AWD and some dealer options, the only option for the ES trim is premium paint for $595. The premium paint options are White Diamond, Red Diamond, and Black Diamond.

The SE Tech Package ($2,300) adds a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a Bose 10-speaker audio system, a power panoramic sunroof, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The SE Black Edition ($1,200) is primarily an appearance package with black wheels, black exterior trim, “Black Edition” badging, a black headliner, and a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.
