The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E places a legendary name on an unconventional SUV with an electric powertrain, modest off-road ability, and the performance to back up its name.
Ford offers the Mustang Mach-E in Select, Premium, and GT trims, with a few upgrade packages for better performance on and off-road. The Select and Premium range around 250 or 225 miles when equipped with all-wheel drive. Buyers can upgrade to a larger battery pack that increases range to just over 300 miles. The GT comes standard with AWD and the larger battery pack, with a range of about 270 miles.
Buyers can purchase a Tesla Model Y or the more expensive Audi e-tron and Jaguar I-Pace in this price range.
In our time putting the Mach-E through its paces, we found it an enjoyable ride with a sporty feel, nicely appointed interior, and a front trunk with more capacity than we expected.
Let’s dive in and see which trim is right for you.
What’s New:
The California Route 1 trim is dropped, and the panoramic roof, once standard, is now optional on the Premium and GT trims. Premium and GT trims gain a 10-way power driver’s seat, while the GT trim gets a MagneRide adaptive damping system and two new option packages. The Bronze Appearance Package adds bronze grille accents and wheels. In contrast, the Rally Package adds Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires, unique wheels, a revised front end, tow hooks, performance upgrades, and unique paint and exterior graphics.
Later in the year, Ford expects Mach-E owners to have access to more than 12,000 Tesla Superchargers.
Our Recommendation:
There is no doubt about it: the Select trim of the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E delivers the most bang for your buck. However, the Premium AWD and the GT are the best-selling models.
These are the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) and include the $1,895 factory-to-dealer delivery fee (destination charge). Prices are current at the time of publishing.

A 15.5-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 6-speaker audio system, and satellite radio capability head up the infotainment system. Navigation is standard, too.
Ford also equips the Mach-E with its subscription-based FordPass Connect capability. When you activate it, it offers a Wi-Fi hot spot, a Phone-as-a-Key feature, a charging station locator, and more.

Also standard is forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection. Rear-park assist, reverse automatic braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, and a surround-view camera are also standard.
Other than AWD ($3,000), Ford offers the BlueCruise hands-free driving assistant with a 3-year plan ($2,100) and a Comfort Package Lite ($1,500) that adds heated seats, a heated steering wheel, and a memory driver’s seat. The long-range battery pack is a $6,500 option, but only if you add AWD.
