The 2024 Nissan Armada is one of the more old-school full-size SUVs. While a few of its rivals, like the Ford Expedition, Toyota Sequoia, and Jeep Wagoneer, have made the switch to turbocharged 6-cylinder engines, the Armada soldiers on with a standard V8, giving it impressive towing muscle of up to 8,500 pounds. Although it may be a bit more old school than its rivals, the Armada is the most affordable SUV in its competitive class.
Borrowing a platform and engine from the Nissan Titan full-size pickup makes the Armada a 3-row SUV with truck-like capabilities. However, Nissan has confirmed that 2024 is the final model year for the Titan, which means this could be the last call for the V8-powered Armada. We may also see a turbo V6 under the hood next year.
Along with the aforementioned rivals from Ford, Jeep, and Toyota, the Nissan Armada competes with the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon, which also keep the V8 faith.
What’s New:
The S trim has been dropped from the 2024 Nissan Armada lineup, which leaves the SV model as the new base trim.
Our Recommendation:
The extra luxuries and sub-$60,000 starting price make the SL trim our recommendation. It makes the Armada a more upscale SUV with leather seats, a power moonroof, a Bose premium audio system, extra safety tech, and optional second-row captain’s chairs.

2024 Nissan Armada SV: $55,450
Now that the S trim is gone, the Armada SV is the new base model. The standard powertrain is a mighty 5.6-liter V8 rated at 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission routing power to the rear wheels.
This 2024 Armada has an EPA fuel economy rating of 14 mpg city/19 mpg highway/16 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive. Upgrading to 4-wheel drive (a $3,000 option on every trim) knocks those numbers down to 13 mpg city/18 mpg highway/15 mpg combined.
Standard features in the Armada SV include auto-leveling rear suspension, 18-inch wheels, LED headlights and fog lights, running boards, 3-row seating, leatherette seats, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, dual-zone automatic climate control, remote start, a universal garage door opener, and a wireless charging pad.
The NissanConnect infotainment system in the Armada has a 12.3-inch touchscreen, and it’s loaded with features like Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, Alexa built-in, navigation, and SiriusXM.
The Nissan Safety Shield 360 safety tech suite bundles features like adaptive cruise control, driver alertness monitor, lane-keeping assist, forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, front/rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams.
The only factory option for the Armada SV is premium paint ($395). Aspen White TriCoat and Gun Metallic are this trim’s two premium paint options.
With the $1,895 destination fee, the 2024 Nissan Armada SV costs $57,345. On a 60-month loan with 5% financing and $0 down, the monthly payment comes to $1,082. See the 2024 Nissan Armada SV for sale near you
