If you’re a style fan and want to make a statement, the 2024 Nissan Murano 2-row SUV might suit you. While the Murano’s interior lacks certain modern features, such as a digital instrument cluster and oversized infotainment touchscreen, that in no way detracts from the Murano’s ability to carry five passengers in comfort and refined style.
Nissan offers the Murano in three trims, all powered by a 260-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine hooked to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). All-wheel drive is optional across the range.
Nissan doesn’t offer a hybrid or plug-in hybrid Murano, so if you’re considering going in that direction, something like the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid or Toyota Venza might be better. Those looking to cross-shop other non-hybrid SUV competitors should look to the Ford Edge, Chevrolet Blazer, and Honda Passport.

Our Recommendation:
The SL trim has just about everything you need in a modern SUV. You can add the Midnight Edition Package for a more distinct look. Music lovers may wish to upgrade to the SV or Platinum for the Bose audio system.

2024 Nissan Murano SV: $37,920 (FWD), $39,620 (AWD)
The SV starts the show with many features, including cutting-edge driver assist systems. In Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 suite are forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic detection, rear automatic braking, and lane-departure warning with a haptic steering wheel that vibrates to alert the driver.
Additional systems include automatic high-beam headlights, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview monitor, adaptive cruise control, a driver attention monitor, and hill start assist.
Full airbag coverage includes front, front and rear side-impact, 2-row side-curtains, and front knee airbags. There’s a system to remind rear-seat passengers to buckle up and another to remind the driver to check the backseat for pets or kids before exiting the vehicle.
The handsome SV touts 18-inch alloy wheels, auto on/off LED headlights, LED fog lights, black roof rails, and rear privacy glass. Heated power side mirrors are standard, as is Nissan’s Intelligent Key proximity key fob that automatically unlocks the doors when you touch the handle. You can start the vehicle remotely and activate pre-set climate controls to cool or heat the cabin before you get in. You can also turn on the front and rear defrosters.
The Nissan Murano SV cabin has comfortable soft-touch surfaces to rest your hand, arm, or elbow without worry. Leatherette upholstery looks and feels like leather but will probably hold up better over time. It covers a heated 10-way power adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way lumbar support and a 4-way power passenger seat. A 60/40 split-folding rear seat adds to the utility of the Murano.
Amenities include a leather-wrapped tilt/telescoping steering wheel with controls for the cruise, audio, and Bluetooth. Dual-zone automatic climate control comes standard, as do rear seat air vents, a push-button starter, and one-touch up/down front power windows with remote front windows down feature.
