2024 Nissan Titan: Choosing the Right Trim

The Nissan Titan is in its last year of production. The Canton, Mississippi, plant will stop building this handsome full-size pickup in the summer of 2024.

While the Titan may not be quite as contemporary as mainstream American rivals like the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ram 1500, and Ford F-150, it remains a solid full-size truck with a powerful V8 engine and excellent warranty that lasts five years or 100,000 miles.

The standard engine in the 2024 Nissan Titan continues to be a 5.6-liter V8 that produces 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. It’s an excellent powerplant if a bit thirsty, and Nissan recommends premium fuel for maximum performance.

EPA fuel economy for the 2024 Nissan Titan comes in at 16 mpg city/21 mpg highway/18 mpg combined with rear-wheel drive (4×2) and 15 mpg city/21 mpg highway/18 mpg combined with 4-wheel drive (4×4). The Pro-4X model, a 4×4 model better equipped for use in the dirt, is rated at 15 mpg city/20 mpg highway/17 mpg combined.

What’s New:

The Nissan Titan lineup has been trimmed to three models for 2024: SV, Pro-4X, and Platinum Reserve. All are Crew Cab models with 67-inch beds except the SV, which also can be ordered as a King Cab 4×4 with a 78.7-inch bed.

New for 2024 is the Titan Bronze Edition, available on 4×2 and 4×4 Crew Cab SV models. It celebrates the Titan’s 20-year run with 20-inch bronze wheels and interior accents, plus an accessory sport bar, black badges, LED headlights, and a revised grille and front fascia.

Our Recommendation:

We’d get a Titan SV with the $2,590 Convenience Package. For about $50,000, you’ll get a comfortable and well-equipped full-size truck with a powerful V8 engine.

2024 Nissan Titan SV: $45,770 (4×2), $48,960 (4×4), $49,140 (King Cab)

The discontinuation of the Nissan Titan S leaves the Titan SV as the new base model for 2024. It’s not fair to consider it that because the Titan SV, available as a King Cab or a Crew Cab, has some excellent features.

Notable among them is its impressive engine: a 5.6-liter V8 that produces 400 hp and endows the Titan SV with a max tow capacity of 9,290 pounds (a 4×2 model equipped with the optional towing package) and a max payload of 1,710 pounds.

The 2024 Nissan Titan SV interior consists of a cloth 40/20/40-split front bench seat in the Crew Cab or front captain’s chairs with a center console in the King Cab. Other standard fare include an 8-inch touchscreen offering Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a chrome front bumper, a painted rear bumper, 18-inch alloy wheels, a body-color grille surround, LED taillights, and heated power mirrors. The SV also gets a thorough safety suite with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic assist, and adaptive cruise control.

New for 2024 is the SV Bronze Edition, which celebrates the big Nissan pickup’s 20 years in the United States. In addition to a gloss-black grille with black mesh, the Bronze Edition package ($2,980) boasts 20-inch bronze alloy wheels, bronze interior trim, a black front bumper, a black headliner, a bed-mounted sport bar, and Bronze Edition floor mats.

Still available is the SV Convenience Package ($2,590) for the SV Crew Cab. This extensive package includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, cloth captain’s chairs with a center console, a power driver’s seat with lumbar, a power-sliding rear window, an auto-dimming mirror, rear HVAC vents, an overhead console, and a Wi-Fi hot spot.

You can also order the SV Tow Package ($790) and the SV Utility Package ($1,690). The former adds tow mirrors, a trailer brake controller, front tow hooks, and a receiver hitch. The latter comes with the Utili-track system with two tie-down bed cleats, LED tailgate area illumination, a 120-volt outlet in the bed, a spray-on bedliner, a universal garage door opener, rain-sensing wipers, a power locking tailgate, and a rear utility bed step.

With the $1,895 delivery fee, the 2024 Nissan Titan SV Crew Cab 4×2 costs $47,665. If you buy one with a 60-month loan at 5% interest and $0 down, your monthly payment will be $900. See 2024 Nissan Titan SV models for sale

2024 Nissan Titan SV includes:

More options — There are numerous option packages for the Titan SV, such as the new Bronze Edition Package, a Tow Package, and a Convenience Package.

Standard 400-hp V8 — This powerful standard V8 engine is one of the Nissan Titan’s greatest strengths.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 — In addition to automatic emergency braking, this standard safety suite includes a lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear automatic braking.

2024 Nissan Titan Pro-4X: $53,580

The Pro-4X continues as the most off-road-ready variant of the Nissan Titan. Available exclusively as a Crew Cab model with 4-wheel-drive (4WD) and a 2-speed transfer case, the Titan Pro-4X  is fortified for dirt use with Bilstein off-road shocks, a front skid plate, hill descent control, and an electronic locking rear differential.

Although it’s set up for dirt exploring (not hardcore rock crawling), the 2024 Nissan Titan Pro-4X is a comfortable everyday truck with a power-adjustable front bucket seat and wireless Apple CarPlay. Other welcome interior features include dual-zone automatic climate control, rear HVAC vents, a universal garage door opener, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 9-inch infotainment system offering navigation, HD Radio, and SiriusXM.

With the optional and extensive Pro-4X Utility Package ($2,190), you get a 12-speaker audio system with a Fender amplifier, a power-sliding rear window, front and rear parking sensors, and a bed with anchoring cleats, LED rail lighting, and a 120-volt power outlet. Also included are an electronic locking tailgate, a trailer brake controller, and a utility step.

The Pro-4X Convenience Package ($3,390) adds a power driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seats, a power steering column with memory, auto-dimming, power-folding exterior mirrors, remote start, a memory driver’s seat, leather seats with Pro-4X embroidery, and a 360-degree camera. A Moonroof Package ($1,490) adds a tilt-and-slide dual-pane moonroof and ventilated front seats.

With the $1,895 delivery fee, the 2024 Nissan Titan Pro-4X costs $55,475. With a 60-month loan at 5% interest and $0 down, your monthly payment will be $1,047. See 2024 Nissan Titan Pro-4X models for sale

2024 Nissan Titan Pro-4X includes:

Bilstein shock absorbers — These off-road dampers, complemented by skid plates and a limited-slip rear differential, help give the Titan good off-road ability.

4WD with 2-speed transfer case — This is the only Titan trim level with standard 4WD, so it’s suitable for off-roading and driving in poor road conditions.

9-inch infotainment system — This upgraded infotainment system has a bigger screen plus wireless Apple CarPlay, navigation, HD Radio, and more.

2024 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve: $59,440 (4×2), $62,750 (4×4)

The Platinum Reserve is the most luxurious 2024 Nissan Titan. With its 2-tone paint, satin chrome trim, chrome running boards, chrome door handles, chrome exhaust tips, black front tow hooks, and 20-inch dark chrome wheels, it certainly looks the part.

Inside, the pampering begins with supple leather upholstery and heated and cooled front bucket seats, complemented by a heated steering wheel, a power front passenger seat, a power-sliding rear window, and a handy 360-degree surround-view monitor. Premium open-pore wood trim and metallic kick plates enhance the luxury inside the Titan Platinum Reserve.

What else sets the Titan Platinum Reserve apart? Besides a handy Utili-track system with two tie-down cleats in the bed, you get heated rear seats, special badging, a leather-wrapped center console lid, a trailer brake controller, a handy 360-degree camera, and a full-sounding 12-speaker premium audio system from Fender.

Although the Platinum Reserve is the most equipped 2024 Nissan Titan, it still can be ordered with a few options.

The Platinum Utility Package ($1,390) adds a power-locking tailgate and a rear utility step. At the same time, the Monotone Paint Package (no charge) lets you have body-color bumpers and fender trim instead of chrome. You can also order your Titan Platinum Reserve with a $1,490 dual-panel moonroof that tilts and slides.

With the $1,895 delivery fee, the 2024 Nissan Platinum Reserve costs $61,335. If you get a 60-month loan at 5% interest with $0 down, your monthly payment will be $1,157. See 2024 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve models for sale

2024 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve includes:

Heated steering wheel — The standard steering wheel on the Platinum Reserve is wrapped in leather, heated, and power-adjustable for height and reach.

Premium leather upholstery — Exceptionally comfortable and luxurious, these heated and cooled seats are embossed with “Platinum Reserve” branding.

Fender premium audio — This audio system from Fender features 12 speakers, including an under-seat subwoofer, a center channel speaker, and front and rear tweeters that bring your music to life.
