The 2025 Honda CR-V arrives with few changes. That’s not a bad thing, given how much Honda got right with this generation. Right-sized inside and out, the CR-V provides reliable year-round transportation with excellent safety ratings and unbeatable resale values.
Honda offers the CR-V in six trims with two different powertrains. The LX, EX, and EX-L derive power from a 190-horsepower 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, while the Sport, Sport-L, and Sport Touring employ a hybrid system pairing a 2.0-liter gas engine with an electric motor for a combined output of 204 hp. All-wheel drive (AWD) is offered across the board and comes standard on the top-line Sport Touring.
The CR-V still faces some tough competition. Some, like the Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage, offer a hybrid powertrain and a superior warranty. The Toyota RAV4 provides hybrid and plug-in hybrid engine options, while the Subaru Forester is standard with AWD.
What’s New:
The Honda CR-V carries over into the 2025 model year with no significant changes.
Our Recommendation:
First and foremost, we’d choose one of the CR-V Hybrid models, as they offer the best of both worlds: more power and better fuel economy. Of the three available 2025 Honda CR-V Hybrid trims, we’d choose the entry Sport model because it’s attractively priced but still well-equipped.
These are the manufacturer’s suggested retail prices (MSRP) and include the $1,350 factory-to-dealer delivery fee (destination charge). Prices are current at the time of publishing.

2025 Honda CR-V LX: $31,450 (FWD), $32,950 (AWD)
The LX trim represents a great buy if you only need a few high-tech add-ons and power accessories.
It comes standard with the 1.5-liter turbocharged gas engine and a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that sends 190 hp to the front or all four wheels. All-wheel drive, which adds only $1,500 to the bottom line, is a smart play, especially if you live in areas with inclement weather.
The CR-V LX also has Econ, Normal, and Snow driving modes. These modes tailor the throttle, transmission, and traction control settings for the best performance in various driving conditions.
Safety is naturally front and center. The 2025 Honda CR-V LX is equipped with Honda Sensing, a safety suite that includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and lane-departure warning and mitigation. If you’re looking for a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic detection, you’ll have to move up to the EX, as they are unavailable on the LX, even as options.
Also notable: The LX, the base CR-V, even has adaptive cruise control, which automatically maintains the gap to the vehicle in front of you on the highway. It’s complemented by low-speed follow, lane-keeping assist, and traffic sign recognition. Also standard is Traffic Jam Assist, which keeps the CR-V in its lane and at a safe distance from the vehicle ahead.
Safety is further addressed with automatic high-beam headlights, a multiview rearview monitor, and automatic brake hold, which keeps the CR-V stationary at red lights, so you don’t have to keep your foot on the brake.
Other standard LX hardware includes 17-inch steel wheels, auto on/off LED headlights, LED side mirror turn indicators, and remote keyless entry.
Inside, you’ll find cloth upholstery, height-adjustable manual front seats, and a 60/40-split folding rear seat. In addition to a tilt/telescoping steering wheel with buttons for the cruise, audio, and Bluetooth, you get push-button start, one-touch up/down power front windows, and automatic single-zone air conditioning.
The audio system features a 160-watt, 4-speaker audio system with a 7-inch touchscreen display. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming, and HondaLink apps support it. The front console also has a single 2.5-amp USB-A data port.
The 2025 Honda CR-V LX has no options other than AWD. However, buyers can order several dealer-installed accessories to round out their purchase.
On a 60-month loan at 5% financing and $0 down, the 2025 Honda CR-V LX monthly payment starts at $594. See 2025 Honda CR-V LX models for sale near you
2025 Honda CR-V LX includes:
Android Auto/Apple CarPlay – By plugging into the front USB port, you can have all the convenience of your smartphone via the LX’s 7-inch touchscreen.
Adaptive cruise control – We’re glad to see this safety-enhancing technology trickle down to even the base Honda CR-V as standard equipment.
Available all-wheel drive – Honda’s Real-Time AWD system greatly aids stability when driving in snow and mud. At only $1,500, it’s hard to pass up.
2025 Honda CR-V EX: $33,700 (FWD), $35,200 (AWD)
The CR-V EX improves on the LX in several ways. Notable upgrades include a power moonroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated side mirrors, rear privacy glass, 18-inch alloy wheels, and an extra USB port in the front center console.
You also get a reverse-activated rear wiper and a proximity key fob that lets you unlock the doors by touching the door handle and locks the vehicle when you walk away. You can then start the EX by pressing a button on the dash. The EX also has remote start, which allows you to fire up your CR-V from the comfort of your living room on a chilly morning and even set the climate control to your liking before hopping in. Added safety systems include a blind-spot monitor and rear cross-traffic detection.
The EX’s spacious cabin features heated front seats, an 8-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar support, and a reclining 60/40-split folding rear seat with a center armrest.
Additional interior features for the EX trim level include Active Noise Cancellation, LED map lights, sliding sun visors, LED cargo lights, and a configurable 7-inch digital gauge cluster.
Also notable: The EX gets a better sound system, a 240-watt unit with six speakers.

Rear-seat USB ports – Rear-seat passengers in the EX will appreciate the two 3.0-amp USB charging ports just for them.
Heated seats – Both front seats in the CR-V EX are heated, helping to take the chill out of cold mornings.
2025 Honda CR-V Sport Hybrid: $35,700 (FWD), $37,200 (AWD)
The 2025 CR-V Sport drops the turbo 1.5-liter gasoline engine in favor of a more robust and significantly more fuel-efficient hybrid setup that uses a 2.0-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) remains standard, as does FWD. AWD is optional. The EPA has rated the hybrid version of the CR-V at up to 40 combined mpg.
As you might expect, the Sport has a Sport driving mode for a snappier response. It also gets 18-inch black alloy wheels, Sport interior cloth seating, gloss-black exterior accents, and a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel. The CR-V Sport also gets two USB-C charging ports for the back seat.
One notable difference compared to the non-hybrid CR-V models is that the Sport is equipped with a tire repair kit, not a space-saver spare.

Nope. The 2024 Honda CR-V Sport-L Hybrid also comes with a power tailgate, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, gloss-black body trim, and 18-inch alloy wheels, also in black.
