Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII (8th Generation: 2003 - 2005)

The Evo VIII is the first Lancer Evolution model to go on sale in the United States. The turbocharged 2.0-liter engine makes shy of 300 horsepower and torque and transfers the power to the ground using AWD. The Evo VIII is at home no matter the road surface and can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 5 seconds when driving on the road or track. The engine features an iron block and stout internals that can easily handle the stock power levels. Model Updates: The last year of production for the Lancer Evo VIII was 2005, which happens to be the most desirable year. The main benefits of the 2005 model year are the increase in power output and other drivetrain improvements. Horsepower increased from 271 – 276, and torque rose from 273 lb-ft to 286 lb-ft. All Evo VIII models receive a limited-slip differential and an active center differential to maximize handling.
