When you think of Italian cars, you might think of small, affordable cars like FIAT or exotic, expensive performance cars like Ferrari or Lamborghini. Alfa Romeo, however, splits the difference as the Italian luxury brand that’s competitive with the likes of BMW and Mercedes-Benz. After a hiatus of a couple of decades, Alfa Romeo returned to the U.S. market in 2008 starting with performance luxury cars and eventually getting into higher-volume segments. Its current lineup includes the stellar Giulia sedan, Stelvio crossover, and 4C sports car making for a small, but well-rounded lineup of luxury cars full of character and impressive performance.
