Founded in 2016 by a former chief engineer from Tesla, Lucid Motors looks to challenge the world’s finest luxury EVs from the likes of Tesla, Porsche, BMW, Audi, Cadillac, and Mercedes-Benz. Although Lucid is a relatively new player in the automotive landscape, the company has already established itself as a technological juggernaut. Its first car, the 2021 Lucid Air, recorded the longest range of any EV rated by the EPA, a staggering 520 miles. And it’s quick, too, capable of reaching 60 mph in two seconds.

Lucid’s designs blend eye-catching aerodynamic sheet metal with cutting-edge cabin technology. The Lucid Gravity SUV looks to capitalize on the Air’s success, with an estimated 440-mile range and peak output of more than 800 horsepower. Both the Air and Gravity are built at the company’s facility in Casa Grande, Arizona.
